The Rowell’s Inn originates back in the 1800s. It was once a stagecoach stop for those traveling between Chester, Londonderry, and Weston. The Inn has also been a post office, general store and most recently a bed & breakfast.
Under new ownership, the recent renovations include antique charm, fresh paint, updated features to the bathrooms, exposed brick, original hardwood floors and tin ceilings. The main guest area features a parlor with built-ins filled with books and games. There is an antique barrel equipped with a chess board. Seating areas are available throughout the inn for unplugging and unwinding including a coffee area and breakfast nook. Our on-site Bar & Grill is open evenings Wednesday through Saturday. Lunch options are available during the winter season and we also have homemade pastries, cakes, and cookies available for purchase.
Entering the second floor, you will see original wide pine boards throughout. Each of our rooms include a private bath decorated with their own charm. Two rooms feature original wash sinks in the bedroom itself, as this was where guests once washed up before modern indoor plumbing was installed. You will also see various built-ins, mantels, rustic-chic decor, and updated wallpaper.
A complimentary breakfast is offered to all guests staying at the inn. Coffee and tea available. Each guest will receive a complimentary gift in their room. Come unplug and unwind with us! Book your room now!
